RETURNING AN ITEM(S)

At DS Music we want you to be pleased with every order you place with us. Occasionally though, we know you may wish to return items – our returns policy is below:

Books and Sheet Music: If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, please return it to us in its original condition within 30 days, and we will issue you with a full refund for the price you paid for the item.

Video, DVD, audio, video games and software: Please return the item(s) to us within 30 days and we will issue you with a full refund for the price you paid for the item. Please note: We only accept the return of Video, DVD, audio, video games and software if they are unopened and in their original condition.

All other items: Please return the item(s) to us within 30 days and we will issue you with a full refund for the price you paid for the item.

Defective items: If your item(s) is defective please return it to us. Please see the 'Returning an item by post' section on this page for more information on how to return your defective item(s).

Delivery charges for returned items: If you are returning an item(s) which we sent in error or is defective when delivered, we will pay for the postage costs incurred in returing the item(s) to us and the cost in sending the replacement/correct item(s) to you. If returning an item(s) for a repair under warranty you will be responsible for the postage cost in returning/sending the replacment. Otherwise you will be responsible for those charges. Please Note: If you have purchased a B-Stock or Ex-Demo product(s) and want to return it please send it back to us for a full refund - please note: you will be responsible for any costs getting this product(s) back to us.

Returning an item by post: To return an item, please contact us either by phoning 01600 800 100 or emailing returns@dsmusic.co.uk and quote your order number/customer number. We will then provide you with a Returns Number which you must include when returning your order. Please note: Without the Returns Number we are unable to process your return and issue your refund. In your package, please enclose a brief letter stating your returns number, customer number, order number and the reason for the return and then wrap the package securely and send it to the address below. If you are returning a defective item(s), please enclose a brief letter stating your returns number, customer number, order number, a full description of the fault and return the defective item with all warranty cards, licences, manuals and accessories to the address listed below (if possible we recommend that you send the defective item(s) in their orginal packaging so they do not get damaged on their return journey):

For your protection we recommend that you send your package with the Royal Mails's 'recorded delivery' service.

This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.






CANCELLING AN ITEM:

Under the United Kingdom's Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any item up to 7 working days after the day of delivery. This applies to all of our printed products. However, we regret that we cannot accept cancellations of contracts for the purchase of video, DVD, audio, video games and software products where the item has been unsealed. Digitally downloaded items cannot be cancelled.


To cancel your order please follow the following steps:

1. Write a brief letter quoting your order number/customer number, the reason why you wish to cancel your order and send it to us within 7 working days after the day of delivery.

2. The item(s) should then be returned within a reasonable time quoting your cusomter number and order number. For your protection we recommend that you send your package with the Royal Mails's 'recorded delivery' service. Please see the 'Returning an item by post' section on this page for postage instructionsPlease send the item(s) securely to the following address.

Please note: You will be responsible for the costs of returning the item(s) to us unless we delivered the item(s) to you by accident or the item is faulty.

If we do not receive the item(s) back from you within a reasonable time, we may arrange for collection of the item from your residence at your cost.

As soon as we recieve your letter requesting us to cancel your order, we will refund the total purchase price within 30 days, less, if relevant, any part of the costs of returning the item(s) to us not paid by you or the cost of collection incurred by us.



Free Gifts We always do our best to supply the gift advertised. If we run out of our 'free gift' for any of our offers an alternative free item at a similar value will be supplied.





Technical Support When free technical support is issued with one or more of our products this is limited to a maximum of 60 minutes per month over the phone. Technical support via email is unlimited throught the period given.



Next Day Delivery If an item is 'out of stock' upon order we will dispatch your order for 'next day delivery' as soon as it comes back into stock - please call us on 01600 772770 if an item it shown 'out of stock' for an estimated dispatch date.
